Chef Ghoshal has had experience in kitchens on both the east and west coasts. A graduate of the Art Institute of New York City and Humboldt State University, Arcata, CA, he began his career in 1994 working under highly acclaimed chef Joe Bastianich in Manhattan.
He earned the chef de cuisine title at the Rib Room in Northern CA in 1998 and was able to work alongside several notables in the industry, while integrating California cuisine into his global approach. Returning to the east coast, Chef Ghoshal earned Executive Chef positions within esteemed establishments such as The Rotunda, Nouveau Sushi/Adaro NYC, and Nero's Grille.
Chef opened adara in October of 2011 as a venue to manifest his vision and showcase his cuisine which has been defined as "global inspired modernism". His food is reflects a balanced cohesion of his deep East Indian roots and the food of his childhood with the influences from Japanese, Peruvian, and French cuisines that have impacted him in his culinary development. adara is a very personal and artistic expression of the Chef and a representation of the culmination of his culinary career.
